Health care reform is dead and it comes as no surprise to me. I fully expected the Democrates to totally pussout on this issue as they have in the past.
Health care, health insurance, and pharmaceuticals are all a racket. But I have serious doubts that the riotous protests and town hall meetings had as much to do with these politicians (both Democratic and Republican) blinking as did the thought of losing political campaign contributions, endorsements, kickbacks, advertising dollars, stock options, and a future spot on a board of directors should they chose to retire from politics and join their cronies in the private sector.
Face it, few of them have our best interests or the best interests of our country at heart.
Now that the right has won some concessions here, they can go back to campaigning against abortion and a woman's right to make a decision about her own body. Once again totally ignoring the millions of orphans the world over and the thousands of deformed babies caused by our ill-advised war in Iraq and Afghanistan and the military's potentially illegal use of depleted uranium shells and bombs.
Let the uninformed prepare for their camera spot and the ignorant dogma begin to fly...!
