Just a thought:

If people are scared of socialized medicine or insurance run by the government, then let's get rid of our current medicaid and medicare programs also, then we can work on getting rid of welfare, unemployment insurance, social security, and disability payments since these are socialistic programs run by the government also...

Then we can tackle dismantling the cumbersome Department of Education with their pesty insistance that all children deserve the same level of opportunity and education...that certainly smacks of socialism to my ears...how dare they insiduosly sneak these type of socialistic programs into our midst...

Perhaps politicians could:

Hold town-hall meetings on public access TV with invites of equal representation from all parties and phone-in and email questions taken and discussed? They can even set up TV feeds at public libraries for those citizens who may not have access to cable or maybe even in theaters.

Oh wait...maybe not libraries...I mean they seem like havens of socialism to me. After all, allowing everyone free access to literature, including many books banned (oh my!) in schools...these should probably go next right after we kill off public education and privitize that system.
